Emergency Reagent Replacement Mini-grant RFA
The Brigham Research Institute (BRI) and the Office for Research Careers (ORC) are pleased to announce the Emergency Reagent Replacement Mini-grant program to defray the costs of replacing reagents or other supplies lost due to the COVID-19 interruptions to on-site research.
AWARDS
These awards are intended for immediate usage by investigators purchasing replacement supplies to restart or continue their research, or as reimbursement for those who have already done so. Funds can be requested up to a limit of $5,000 and will be awarded weekly on a rolling basis based on need and demonstrated loss after review by BRI and ORC staff.
Applications will be open until August 1, 2020 or until funds are expended, whichever comes first. All purchases MUST be charged by August 31, 2020 with no exceptions.
Unfortunately, these funds cannot be used for animal charges.
ELIGIBILITY
· Post-docs, residents, clinical fellows, and junior faculty (Assistant Professor or below). Applicants must be full-time BWH employees.
· Researchers who are women and/or underrepresented in science and medicine (URM) will be given preference and are particularly encouraged to apply.
REVIEW CRITERIA
· Demonstrated loss of reagents or supplies during COVID-19.
